Welcome to my webpage!

A few important notes about my class:

Homework:  Homework will be given out on Monday and will be due on Friday.  Students can turn the assignment in early, however, it will not be accepted after classtime on Friday.  They have 4 days to complete it and is 10% of their six weeks grade.

Classwork:  Any work not completed in class will be due the following class period.  The majority of all of the independent work will be finished in class.  If at any time you feel your child is bringing too much classwork home unfinished, please email me.  I will carefully observe their work habit and we can discuss what improvement can be made to benefit your child.  Classwork is 40% of their six weeks grade.

Tests/quizzes:  Students will be told in advance of any quizzes or tests.  They are 50% of their six weeks grade.

Working lunch:  Working lunch is mandatory for any student who does not have their classwork completed on the date it is due.  Also,

I am available at that time if students have questions or need help with their assignments.

Grading policy/late work:  The only time full credit will be given for an assignment is when it is turned in on time.  Late work that is finished at "working lunch" will be 10 points off.  Assignments turned in the second day will be 20 points off, and those turned in the third day will be 30 points off.  No assignments will be accepted after 3 days.

Math Binder:  All students will maintain a math binder.  It should have 3 dividers labeled homework, classwork, tests.   These binders may go home at any time but please make sure they come back the following day - we work out of them daily.  ALL PAPERS are kept in this binder!!  Please do not throw any papers away!  All papers in the binder should have a grade or a checkmark on the assignment.  We clean out binders at the end of each six weeks.

Multiplication facts:  Please make sure your child knows his/her facts!  He/she will struggle in math without knowing them fluently.  Flashcards and online games are good tools to use!
